Arkansas Family Resorts: Summer Adventure Activities

Gaston’s award-winning restaurant, private club, tennis courts, playground, game room, swimming pool, and fly-fishing school makes us one of the best Arkansas family resorts on the White River! However, we also understand that you may want to explore beyond our resort’s border, and that’s alright. We love our neighborhood too!

On-Site Activities

Enjoy an outstanding meal from our executive chef, Rick, who graduated first in his class with a degree in the Culinary Arts Program at Washburn Trade School. Rick became an executive chef at 23 years old. He’s worked for exclusive country clubs in Chicago, Milwaukee, and Detroit, to eventually become the owner-chef of Miami Bar & Grill in downtown Chicago. Rick also featured and produced in an instructional DVD, so rest easy he’s a professional in the kitchen!

We are confident that our Arkansas family resorts offer the perfect cottages for you, because of their wide variety of choices will suit you and your family. In addition to our basic accommodations, we have several larger cabins, ideal for large groups so that you can invite your family friends. We are a pet-friendly resort! So, don’t leave your pets behind, bring them with, but don’t forget a leash!

Our Arkansas family resorts also take pride in meeting any need you may have! Whether you need a crib, firewood, or extra blankets we want to make you as comfortable as possible, so please let us know what you need!  We offer excellent fishing excursions, but our gorgeous grounds also, provide beautiful backdrops to any morning or afternoon jogs, or hiking trails! On those hot summer days, the whole family can enjoy our beautiful pool, and the kids will love our old-fashioned!

Off-Site Activities

If you want to take the family on an excursion off-site to our Arkansas family resorts, we would recommend checking out Bull Shoals Cavern and the  Powerhouse and Dam Tour.

The Bull Shoals Cavern Tour is a fun family activity! Their knowledgeable and friendly guides and the cave’s cool temperature are a great way to escape those scorching summer days. The Cave tour is approximately forty-five minutes long, but, after the tour, don’t forget to check out the historic buildings from surrounding areas. It’s well worth it to explore the caves!

The Powerhouse and Dam Tour allow you to visit one of the largest concrete dams in the United States! During the tour, you’ll discover how to use water to make electric power and see the massive equipment that produces this energy resource! You’ll also learn about the environmental and commercial impact of the dam, and the role it plays in providing flood control, hydropower and recreational opportunities. Don’t miss the video that shows the construction of the Dam!

We hope you and your family will visit our Arkansas family resorts for your summer vacation!
