Fly Fishing School

Hank Wilson is one of the most knowledgeable fly fishing guides on the White River. Hank has fly fished on all the major streams in the western part of the United States and brings many years of experience that he will share with you. Hank has developed many new techniques for catching fish here on the White River, ones that will make you a much better fly fisherman, no matter what you fly fish for. Most of all, he is a great teacher and very gifted at sharing what he has learned over the many years of fishing.

The first day of the course will begin with three hours of one on one classroom instruction, covering subjects such as: the art and history of fly fishing, equipment and the uses of different equipment, and the basics of fly fishing.  8:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M.

The afternoon will be spent with personal instruction on how to use your fly rod with Hank's very successful casting methods.  He will also show you how to fish both the low water and high water levels of the White River. This will include instruction on fly fishing methods that you can and will put to use on streams or lakes other than the White River. This part will be taught using our nature pond area.  1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.
