Enjoyable day of trout fishing below
Bull Shoals Dam
Apr 21,
2007 - May 4, 2007
The water generation has been
varied the past two weeks ... Some days none, others two to four generations.
During the low water conditions, Mepps, Red and Gold Buouyant Spoons, and
spinners seem to be the best lure to use. Yellow Power Bait and Orange Power Bait with a live or an artificial Wax Worm attract many fish to the hook. Night
crawlers are catching a lot of fish while the water is low and if one or two power units start, the
red worms is the optimal bait.
Fly fisherman have really enjoyed this past two weeks. Flies that work best now are the Red Butt Soft Hackle, Orange Soft Hackle, Tennessee Red-Ass, Olive Buggers, and Red San Juan Worms.
Good luck with your fishing and take a buddy along to enjoy fishing also
and to make memories of a life time.

"Finish every day and be done with it.
You have done what you could;
Some blunders and absurdities crept in;
Forget them as soon as you can.
Tomorrow is a new day;
You shall begin it serenely and
With too high a spirit to be encumbered
With your old nonsense."
